We, the members of The Ivy Community Charities of Prince George’s County, Inc. are committed to continuing to provide ongoing activities, which address community service and educational needs of the community.  The Institute for the Growth and Development of African American Youth exists to provide an opportunity for African American youth of Prince George’s County to enhance and cultivate their educational, cultural, community, and social growth through educational workshops, cultural activities, and participation in community service programs and projects.

The goal of the Institute for the Growth and Development of African American Youth is to promote the personal, social, cultural growth and development of young people to empower them to build self-esteem, self-confidence, improve academically and develop skills and abilities which will enable them to survive and be successful in life.
